Thought for the day

Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into Himself.
Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it.” (Galatians 3:13‭-‬14 MSG)
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”(Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 NLT)
I want to highlight the following from these two scriptures:
1. We have been redeemed by Jesus from the curse of the law. We have been redeemed from poverty, sickness and spiritual death. For poverty He has given us wealth, for sickness health and for spiritual death life.
2. The blessings of Abraham are ours confirmed by the blood of Jesus.
3. The free gift of salvation is more than just eternal life. Salvation in this instance is the Greek word “Soteria”, which refers to every area of our life being redeemed, as mentioned in point 1 above. It encompasses deliverance, preservation, safety and salvation.
We need to believe in the finished work of the cross and that Jesus has already paid the price. We need to change our confession to that of a Victor fighting from victory rather than someone who is fighting for victory.
