Thought for the day
Jesus uses the storms of life to teach us some incredible things about Himself and about ourselves. A storm can become the real classroom for our spiritual education. It’s one thing to learn something about God or ourself sitting in a church service, it’s another thing to learn something about God and ourself when we lose a loved one, we are let go at work, when we can’t afford our bills anymore, when our health begins to leave us or when our marriage falls apart. Some lessons can only be learned in the middle of the storm.
We must understand that the storms in life will very often cause us to initially doubt God and will reveal the level of our faith and relationship with our Heavenly Father.
We need to purpose in our hearts that when we are faced with the storms of life that we will run into the arms of our loving Heavenly Father, trust His Word and believe that He will work ALL THINGS to the good. (Romans 8:28) He will never leave us or forsake us.
