Thought for the day
II Thessalonians 2:3 NLT
[3] Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.
1 John 4:1 NIV
[1] Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Since deception is going to be dominant in the last days, it is critical that we can identify it.
Here are six signs of deception:
1. Spiritual Elitism. ( 1 John 18-10; Galatians 6:3)
2. Irrational Isolation. (Proverbs 18:1-2)
3. Absence of Accountability. ( 1 Corinthians 4:14-17; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Hebrews 13:7-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
4. Combative Complex. (Psalms 52:2; Psalms 52:4)
5. Persistent Pattern of Change. ( Proverbs 24:21; Ephesians 4:14; James 1:8)
6. The Presence of a Self-Exhalted Prophet. ( 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; Psalms 36:2-3; Matthew 7:20)
Matthew 24:4 NIV
[4] Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
In closing J.H. Osborne said, ” The problem with deception is that you’re deceived, so the deceived would be the last to know.”
