Thought for the day
Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:2 NLT
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
James 1:21-22 NLT
A spirit of compromise has filtered its way into the body of Christ under the guise of being ‘seeker friendly’. This has led to many believers manipulating and shaping the Word of God to suit their own agendas. Yes, we are called to walk in love and to love both believers and unbelievers because Jesus died for all Mankind. However we are not called to preach a diluted version of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which takes the Grace of God and cheapens it. People have been lulled into thinking that it is ok to be partially obedient because of His Grace. God will always forgive us when we are truly repentant ( 1 John 1:9). However we cannot expect to live a victorious Christian life manifesting heaven on earth when we are full of compromise.
We need to fully surrender every area of our lives to Jesus. This means we need to be different (not weird), make a difference (not be irrelevant) and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
We need to take authority and to stop allowing the world to keep impacting us as the church. We need to be the light and salt that impacts and transforms the broken world we are living in.
Let’s step fully into our mandate which is to take dominion, be fruitful and to multiply.
