Thought for the day
People often say that there is a thin line between confidence and arrogance but the truth is that they are miles apart.
Here are 10 differences between confidence and arrogance:
1. Confidence can come from a good place but arrogance never does.
2. Confident leaders inspire but arrogant leaders repulse.
3. Confident leaders learn from others but arrogant leaders have all the answers.
4. Confident leaders seek to serve others but arrogant leaders seek to be served.
5. Confident leaders enjoy feedback but arrogant leaders resist it.
6. Confident leaders care about the people but arrogant leaders care about perception.
7. Confident leaders make decisions for the Kingdom but arrogant leaders make decisions for their personal brands.
8. Confident leaders recover from struggles but arrogant leaders are demoralised by them.
9. Confident leaders develop others but arrogant leaders are threatened by others.
10. Confident leaders think of others first but arrogant leaders think of themselves.
The Word of God tells us :
Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.
Proverbs 16:18 NLT
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
James 4:10 NLT
May our confidence be firmly placed in who we are in Christ because outside of Him we can do nothing of true value.
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’………”
Acts 17:28 NIV
