Thought for the day
How to deal with intimidation continued:
6. Pray for Deliverance and Protection
In moments of intimidation, prayer is essential. Cry out to God for deliverance from the spirit of fear, and ask Him to intervene on your behalf.
Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.” God promises to answer those who seek Him and will deliver you from the power of intimidation.
7. Avoid Isolating Yourself
Intimidation often thrives when we are alone. Isolation can amplify fear and make us more vulnerable. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray for and encourage you.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 highlights the power of community: “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor… a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Having a supportive community of believers can provide strength and accountability in the face of intimidation.
8. Refuse to Submit to the Fear of Man
In moments of intimidation, the fear of man can be a powerful force. However, Proverbs 29:25 reminds us: “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” Trusting in God’s presence and protection is far more reliable than fearing what others might do or say.
9. Take Authority in Jesus’ Name
As Christians, we are given authority over all powers of darkness through Jesus Christ. When intimidation manifests, use the authority you have in Christ to rebuke it.
Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” In Jesus’ name, take authority over any spirit of fear or intimidation that may be coming against you.
10. Remember the Victory in Christ
Lastly, remember that Jesus has already won the ultimate victory over every form of evil, including fear and intimidation. No matter what you face, the victory belongs to Christ.
1 John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
The presence of the Holy Spirit within you is greater than any fear, intimidation, or opposition you may face.
