Thought for the day

It is important that we honour each other because of the precious treasure that God has placed in each of us. We are all equally important to God and each of us has an unique and vital role to play within the the body of Christ. To marginalise and to look down at people is not of God. Leaders who exalt themselves and blow there own trumpets are not glorifying their Heavenly Father. The lack of a servant heart in leadership can lead to control, manipulation and spiritual abuse.
I’m sure that in many of our homes we have expensive things in cheap containers. We might, for example, have rings that cost us a fortune to purchase but are now being stored in a cheap little box.
Similarly, inside of each of us is a treasure of unlimited value. As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4:7, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.”
When we honour this treasure of unlimited value in each of us we will experience His power manifest in us and among us thereby exalting and glorifying His Holy Name.
