5 brief reasons why we as Christians shouldn’t ever refer to ourselves as a self-made person:

1. God is the Source:
Everything we have comes from God (James 1:17), so claiming to be “self-made” disregards His role in our lives.
2. Humility:
Acknowledging God’s involvement keeps us humble, recognizing that we are not in control of everything (Proverbs 3:5-6).
3. Gratitude:
Recognizing God’s provision fosters gratitude rather than pride (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
4. Dependence on God:
We are meant to rely on God for strength and guidance, not on our own abilities (Philippians 4:13).
5. Purpose:
Our lives have a higher purpose in God’s plan, and success is for His glory, not our own (1 Corinthians 10:31).
