Servant leadership is central to Christian living because it reflects the heart and character of Jesus Christ.
Here are some reasons why servant leadership is important for us as Christians:
1. It follows the example of Jesus
Christ modelled humility and service, teaching that true greatness comes through serving others (Mark 10:45).
2. It displays Christlike love
Serving others expresses genuine love, compassion, and concern, which are core Christian values.
3. It builds unity in the body of Christ
When we serve each other, the church grows stronger, healthier, and more unified.
4. It transforms communities
Servant leadership brings healing, justice, and hope to those in need, demonstrating God’s kingdom on earth.
5. It strengthens personal spiritual growth
Serving helps cultivate humility, patience, and dependence on God.
Practicing servant leadership allows us to live out our faith authentically and make Christ visible in the world.
