Kingdom Marriage
Scripture: “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
Kingdom Truth: In the Kingdom, marriage establishes a new divine order of priority. “Leaving” is not about dishonouring parents, but about a realignment of loyalty and responsibility. “Cleaving” speaks of a deep, covenantal bonding—being firmly joined together in spirit, soul, and body. Healthy separation from previous dependencies creates the space for true unity to flourish. When this order is honoured, marriage becomes a strong, unified reflection of God’s design.
Application: Intentionally place your spouse above all other relationships, including family, friends, and external influences. Set healthy boundaries where needed to protect the unity of your marriage. Make decisions together, stand together, and cultivate a deep sense of partnership. Invest time, communication, and emotional connection into your relationship so that your bond grows stronger daily.
Declaration: I cleave to my spouse in unity. We are one in heart, purpose, and covenant, and our relationship is firmly established in God’s design.
