Thought for the day
Here are the main benefits we as Christians have, being redeemed from the curse of the law:
1. Freedom from Condemnation
We are no longer judged guilty before God for failing to keep the law perfectly (Romans 8:1).
2. Forgiveness of Sins
Through Christ’s sacrifice, our sins are forgiven and no longer counted against us (Colossians 1:14).
3. Justification (Made Righteous)
We receive Christ’s righteousness as a gift—not by works, but by faith (Galatians 2:16; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
4. Adoption as God’s Children
We become sons and daughters of God with full access to Him (Galatians 4:4–7).
5. The Holy Spirit
Being freed from the law allows us to receive the Holy Spirit, who empowers and guides us (Galatians 3:14).
6. Freedom from Fear
We no longer fear judgment, death, or separation from God (Hebrews 2:14–15).
7. Access to God’s Promises
We become heirs of Abraham’s blessings—spiritual inheritance, favour, and God’s covenant love (Galatians 3:14, 29).
8. Power to Live a New Life
We can now walk in the Spirit, not the flesh, and live with purpose and victory (Romans 6:4; Galatians 5:16–18).
9. Eternal Life
Redemption brings us into a secure, everlasting relationship with God (John 3:16; Titus 3:7).
Because Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, we receive freedom, forgiveness, righteousness, the Holy Spirit, and eternal life.
