Thought for the day

The power of honour:

1. Connects to God’s favour:
Honouring God is a response to His love and grace, and it is linked to receiving His favour and blessing.

2. Brings blessings to life:
Honouring parents is tied to a long and prosperous life, and in general, a life of honour leads to blessings in many areas, even if they are not immediately apparent.

3. Restores relationships:
When the heart is healed of bitterness and unforgiveness, it allows a person to honour others, which can improve relationships and bring freedom.

4. Unlocks spiritual power:
A culture of honour allows God’s power to flow more freely. Conversely, a lack of honour, like the unbelief Jesus experienced in his hometown, can limit miracles.

5. Elevates and repositions you:
Honour is seen as a spiritual ladder that can lift individuals into new realms and levels of purpose and calling, while dishonour can bring a person down.

6. Is a heart issue:
True honour is a heart attitude, not a performance, and it is an expression of reverence, humility, and service, rather than flattery or obligation.
