Thought for the day

Here are some practical guidelines on how to respond biblically to a controlling spirit:

1. Pray for Discernment
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth and protect your heart (James 1:5, 1 John 4:1).

2. Set Godly Boundaries
Lovingly but firmly say “no” when control crosses into manipulation (Galatians 5:1).

3. Stand on Scripture
Let God’s Word, not someone’s pressure, guide your choices (Psalm 119:105).

4. Walk in the Spirit, Not Fear
Don’t be driven by guilt or fear; trust God’s peace to lead you (2 Timothy 1:7).

5. Stay Humble, Not Hostile
Respond in love, not pride or revenge (Romans 12:18).

6. Seek Wise Counsel
Involve mature believers or church leaders if needed (Proverbs 11:14).

7. Pray for Them
Intercede for their healing and deliverance from any spiritual strongholds (Ephesians 6:12).
