Thought for the day

As a Christian, it’s important not to gossip or speak negatively about fellow Christians and leaders because:

1. It dishonors God
Gossip and slander go against biblical commands to use our words to build up, not tear down (Ephesians 4:29).
2. It damages unity
The church is called to be unified (1 Corinthians 1:10), and negative talk breeds division and distrust.
3. It undermines spiritual authority
God places leaders in the church (Hebrews 13:17), and speaking against them can weaken their ability to lead and influence others.
4. It reflects poorly on Christ
As representatives of Christ, our behavior should reflect His character, including love, grace, and respect.

If concerns exist, the Bible encourages addressing them directly and respectfully (Matthew 18:15–17).
