Thought of the day.

We live in a world that is full of ideas and belief systems that are contrary to God’s Word. Our Heavenly Father wants us to have an uncommon courage and stand up for Christ. In order to do this effectively, we need to develop a Christian worldview.
A worldview is the filter through which we see and understand the world, and everyone’s filter varies to a lesser or greater degree. We may even be looking at the same event, but see it differently from those around us because of having varying worldviews.
The way we view life influences how we see everything. It forms our view of God, ourself, others, the past, the present, the future, money, time, good, and evil etc. The choices we make are influenced by our worldview and every time we make a decision, we look at it through our worldview filter and make our choice based on the beliefs that make up our worldview.
As followers of Jesus, we need to base our worldview on the truth of God’s Word. When we have a strong Christian worldview it allows us to stand courageously as a believer and to be someone who stands up and speaks truth.
Matthew 10:32-33 says, “Stand up for me against world opinion and I’ll stand up for you before my Father in heaven. If you turn tail and run, do you think I’ll cover for you?” (The Message)
We need to get an understanding of the truth that God expects us, as one of His followers, to stand for.In order for us to make that kind of stand requires an uncommon courage that is only available through a Christian worldview based and rooted in the knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.
