Thought of the day.

#lovebeyondwords
The Lord spoke this to me clearly one evening when I was out in Hillbrow sharing the gospel to various street people. In this particular situation I was ministering to a young man and I was telling him about how much Jesus loved him. At that very moment the Holy Spirit arrested me and said how is this young man going to understand the love of Christ when he doesn’t even have a jersey or shoes on his feet? The Lord told me to give him my jersey and shoes (which fitted him perfectly). Once I had done that the Lord released me to lead him to Christ. This was an expression of His Love in action.
In reaching out to people we have to make sure that we allow people to retain their dignity. This is where the attitude of the heart is so important. We need to make sure that people experience the genuine love of Christ through our actions. People are not fooled by our personal agendas and ulterior motives which screams of false humility, pride and an attempt to promote ourselves rather than a real desire to be Jesus’ hand and feet to a hurting and suffering world.
It is possible to develop an outward conformity to the rules with no true inward transformation. God does not only judge according to our deeds, but he also judges according to the attitude of our hearts. God sees what is in the heart.
