Thought for the day

Here are some brief dangers of being overly busy:
1. Neglected relationship with God
Busyness can crowd out time with Him.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
2. Burnout
Constant activity can drain us and make serving a burden.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
3. Misplaced priorities
We may focus on worldly tasks over eternal ones.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness…” (Matthew 6:33)
4. Loss of spiritual discernment
Noise and haste can dull our spiritual hearing.
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
5. Weakened community
Busyness can isolate us from Christian fellowship.
“And let us not neglect our meeting together…” (Hebrews 10:25)

A busy life is not always a fruitful one. As Christians, we must guard our time in order to ensure that we stay close to God, care for our souls, and live out His priorities.
