Thought for the day

Dealing with jealousy begins with recognizing it as a sinful emotion that can harm relationships and spiritual well-being.
Here are some ways to deal with jealousy:

1. Acknowledge it honestly:
Admit the feeling of jealousy to God in prayer (Psalm 139:23-24). Hiding it only gives it more power.
2. Refocus on God’s blessings:
Practice gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Jealousy often grows when we focus on what we lack instead of what God has already provided.
3. Love others genuinely:
Love rejoices in the good of others (1 Corinthians 13:4). Ask God to help you see people through His eyes, not through comparison.
4. Trust God’s plan:
Believe that God’s timing and provision for your life are perfect (Jeremiah 29:11). What He has for others doesn’t diminish what He has for you.
5. Repent and renew your mind:
Ask for forgiveness and let God transform your heart (Romans 12:2). Replace jealous thoughts with truth from Scripture.
