We as Christians should Be Peacemakers for the following reasons:

1. Reflects God’s Nature
“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33)
2. Jesus Commands It
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
3. Follows Christ’s Example
“Through him [Jesus] to reconcile to himself all things… making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (Colossians 1:20)
4. Builds Church Unity
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3)
5. Witness to the World
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
6. Fruit of the Spirit
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…” (Galatians 5:22)

As Christians, being peacemakers isn’t optional because it’s part of our identity in Christ. When we seek peace, we reflect God’s heart, follow Jesus’ example, and become a light in a divided world. Let us pursue peace with others as a witness to the transforming power of the gospel.
