“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes….’” – Malachi 3:11 (NKJV)
When God said He will rebuke the devourer for your sake, it includes more than money? If we are a tither, we have rights that extend beyond the financial realm and we have the promise that God will rebuke the devil from devouring anything in our life. The devourer has been rebuked by God for our sake in every area of our lives, including our health, our unborn children or our right to bear children (Malachi 3:11). All we have to do is enforce it.
What this scripture means is that if we are a tither, God will fight the fight for us against the one or ones trying to hurt us. It says He will rebuke the devourer or in other words He will handle the people trying to harm us. He says “I have it handled,” and if He has it handled it means we don’t have to carry envy, anger and strife and jealousy against my enemies. The 23rd psalm says He will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. A question to ask ourselves is where are our enemies? Are they in heaven or here on the earth? Mine are here on earth.
If we are a tither, when people try to harm or hurt us with actions and or words we can just go tell God on them. We should do like we used to do with our brother or our sister when we went and told our mom or dad what they did. When we tell Him, He already knows what we are going to say. We need to just leave the retribution to Him instead of letting ourself get all out of sorts over the issue. If there is anything true about God, He is exact, perfect, timely and never fails to do what He says He will do.
