Thought of the day.

Our Heavenly Father is caring, loving and compassionate and He loves us more than we could ever comprehend.God is love, and He made us to love us. He is loving toward us in everything that He does and His compassion is one of His most outstanding qualities. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 103:13, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him” (NIV). He cares compassionately about everything in our life.
Many of Jesus’s disciples were professional fishermen. One day while they were out fishing, Jesus got tired and went to sleep inside the boat. Suddenly a severe storm came up, which shouldn’t have bothered the disciples because as fishermen, they were used to storms. This must have been a really massive storm, because they were petrified. The ship was rocking and rolling and water was coming into the boat. They became frantic and woke up Jesus to ask Him one of the most important questions in life: “Lord, don’t you care?”
We have all asked God this question many times and in a thousand ways: “God, did you see that doctor’s report? Don’t you care? Do you see what a mess my marriage is in? Don’t you care? Do you see how my kids are struggling in school? Don’t you care? You know how fear grips my mind. Don’t you care?”
The answer is that our Heavenly Father cares. In fact, He cares more than we can imagine and He wants to help us more than we even want Him to help. He knows what will help us more than we know what will help us.. He is aware of everything happening in our lives, and He cares.
Scripture says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV).
If we knew and felt how much our Heavenly Father constantly and compassionately cares, we couldn’t help but love Him back.
Let us take the first step toward inner peace, and “cast all our anxiety” on our compassionate Heavenly Father.
