Here are 4 ways to be led by the Spirit of God:

1. Meditate on the Word of God. ( Joshua 1:8 NKJV)
In order to be able to be led by the Spirit of God, you must be able to recognise His voice. This comes not only from prayer and reading the Word of God but also from meditating on the Word of God which is one of the ways to be led by His Spirit.

2. Be a doer of the Word. ( James 1:22 NKJV)
To become a doer of the Word of God,we need to determine in our hearts to do everything we see written in it. This means we alter our lifestyle to fit the Word instead of trying to alter the Word to fit our lifestyle.

3. Put the Word of God above all else. (Proverbs 4:20-21 NIV)
We must train ourselves to put the Word of God above all else. We should train ourselves to ask in any matter of life, ” What does God’s Word have to say about this?” And then we should put that Word first. (Matthew 6:33)

4. Instantly respond to your spirit. (Proverbs 20:27)
As Spirit-filled believers we have an inner voice and this is where the Holy Spirit communicates with us and not in our minds.

When we follow these four ways to be led by the Spirit of God and practice them as a regular part of our life we will come to know through the prompting and leading of Holy Spirit what we should do in any given situation.
