Kingdom Family
Scripture: Proverbs 15:1 (NIV) “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Kingdom Truth: Words are powerful because they don’t just express what is in our hearts, they also shape the atmosphere of our homes. In the Kingdom of God, communication is not about winning arguments but about building one another up. Gentle, wise speech diffuses tension, restores peace, and creates a safe space where love can flourish. What we say and how we say it can either invite God’s presence or open the door to strife.
Application: Be intentional with your words, especially in moments of tension. Choose gentleness over harshness, patience over reaction, and wisdom over impulse. Listen before you speak, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your tone and response. Make it a daily practice to speak life, encouragement, and affirmation over your family members.
Declaration: My words are filled with grace and wisdom. I speak life, peace, and encouragement, and my home is filled with God’s presence.
