In life, many people chase wealth and possessions, believing these bring happiness. However, the Bible teaches that true gain comes from living a godly life combined with contentment. This means trusting God, doing what is right, and being satisfied with what He provides.
Reasons:
1. Inner peace: Contentment removes worry and envy, leading to a calm heart.
2. Spiritual strength: Godliness helps one live according to God’s will.
3. Freedom from greed: It protects from the endless desire for more.
4. Lasting fulfilment: True satisfaction comes from spiritual, not material, wealth.
5. Eternal reward: A godly and content life brings blessings now and in eternity.
In summary, godliness with contentment is great gain because it brings peace, spiritual growth, and lasting joy. When we trust God and are thankful for what we have, we find true wealth that neither fades nor fails.
