Thought for the day

To stop the devil from being a “roaring lion” in our lives (1 Peter 5:8), we must:

1. Stay Alert and Sober-Minded
Be spiritually aware and avoid distractions or compromises that dull your discernment.
2. Resist Him Firm in Faith
Stand strong in God’s Word and refuse to give in to lies, temptation, or fear.
3. Submit to God
Surrender your life daily to God’s will (James 4:7), allowing His power to work through you.
4. Pray Continually
Stay in constant communication with God for strength, guidance, and protection (Ephesians 6:18).
5. Wear the Armour of God
Use the spiritual armour in Ephesians 6:10–18 to guard your heart, mind, and soul.

Walk closely with God, stay spiritually alert, and actively resist the enemy through faith and obedience.
