Thought for the day

God is described as a covenant God rather than primarily an emotional God because His relationship with humanity is based on commitment, promises, and faithfulness, not changing feelings.
A covenant is a binding agreement, like a sacred contract, that reflects God’s unchanging nature and purposeful actions. While God does express emotions like love, anger, and compassion in Scripture, He is not ruled by emotions. Instead, He remains steadfast and true to His word, regardless of human behavior.
This covenantal nature provides security and consistency because He keeps His promises, such as those made to Abraham, Moses, and through Christ, regardless of emotional fluctuations.
