Thought for the day
Here are some reasons why we as Christians need to understand that “we are the Church”:
1. The Church is the People, Not the Building
In the New Testament, the Church is described as the community of believers, not a physical structure (Acts 2:42-47).
2. The Body of Christ
We as Christians collectively make up the Body of Christ, with each person being a unique and essential part (1 Corinthians 12:27).
3. The Holy Spirit Dwells in Us
God’s presence is not limited to temples; He dwells within believers through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 2:22).
4. Called to Live and Represent Christ
As the Church, we are called to reflect Christ’s love, serve others, and share the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20).
5. Unity in Christ
All believers are united in Christ, forming one spiritual family or household of God (Ephesians 2:19-22).
