Thought for the day

We need to ponder on how our Heavenly Father must feel when He can’t get our attention. The truth is that He’s constantly thinking about us and it must hurt Him when we don’t give Him the space to occupy our thoughts throughout the day.
The bottom line is that our Heavenly Father wants our attention. The question we should be asking ourselves, is how do we give it to Him? The one way is that when we pray about something over and over, we are giving Him our attention.
When we’re going up a steep hill, it’s always helpful to be able to anticipate what lies ahead. At that moment, it would be helpful to have a helicopter to give us the “all clear” to pass.God is like that helicopter in that He can see what we can’t see. He can see the traps we’re going to have this week, this month, and this year. If we will give Him our attention and focus, He’ll go ahead of us and show us how to avoid all of the traps.
The Word of God says, “Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!” (Psalm 105:4 ESV). We should be seeking God continually. Prayer is not something to be ticked off a list. It is an ongoing conversation.
