Thought for the day

A carnal man, driven by fleshly desires, is unable to grasp spiritual truths for the following reasons:

1. Lacks the Holy Spirit
Spiritual truth is revealed by the Spirit, which the carnal man does not possess (1 Corinthians 2:14).
2. Thinks spiritually things are foolish
He sees spiritual matters as irrational or meaningless.
3. Operates by natural reasoning
He relies on human wisdom, not spiritual revelation.
4. Is spiritually blind
Sin and fleshly desires cloud his understanding (Romans 8:7).
5. Resists God’s truth
His nature is in opposition to God’s ways (Romans 8:5-8).

Without the Spirit, he remains blind to the things of God and unable to discern them.
