We should not reject Godly correction for several important reasons:

1. It Comes from Love
Godly correction is a sign of care and love.
Proverbs 3:11-12 says, “Do not despise the Lord’s discipline… because the Lord disciplines those he loves.”

2. It Leads to Growth
Correction helps you grow in faith, character, and maturity.
Hebrews 12:11 reminds us that “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace…”

3. It Keeps You on the Right Path
Godly correction protects you from sin and its consequences.
Psalm 119:105 says God’s word is “a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Correction aligns you with His Word.

4. It Reflects Humility
Accepting correction shows a humble heart, which God honors.
Proverbs 12:1 says, “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”

5. Jesus Modeled It
Jesus corrected His disciples out of love and truth. As followers of Christ, we are called to receive correction and grow from it, just as they did.

Godly correction is a tool God uses to shape you more into the image of Christ. Rejecting it is rejecting an opportunity for spiritual growth.
