Thought for the day

Spiritual ethics refers to the moral principles and values rooted in God’s character and revealed through Scripture, guiding how we as Christians live in alignment with the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual ethics goes beyond just knowing right from wrong—it involves living in a way that reflects the nature of Christ. It is shaped by love, truth, justice, mercy, humility, and holiness, not just external rules.

How It Should Operate in Our Christian Life:

1. Guided by the Holy Spirit
Ethical choices come from a heart transformed by God, not just external obedience (Galatians 5:22–23).
2. Centered on Love
Love for God and others is the foundation of all moral action (Matthew 22:37–40).
3. Modeled After Christ
Jesus is the perfect example of how to live ethically, with grace, truth, and compassion.
4. Lived Out Daily
Spiritual ethics shapes how we treat others, make decisions, pursue justice, and handle conflicts—in public and private life.
5. Grounded in Scripture
The Bible provides the foundation and framework for discerning what is right in the eyes of God.

In essence, spiritual ethics is about becoming more like Christ in every part of life, allowing God’s character to shape our choices, attitudes, and relationships.
